Water temp 76. Visibility 2'. It's still up 6" above normal I would say it's prime for good numbers fishing and might stumble on a big one too. Walleye and whites are biting like they should be.

might not stay that way for long. Just looked at radar and more rain on the way today and they are saying chance of rain the rest of the week.

It's been a crazy summer. Every time a plan a trip I have to go shopping for a river that's not blown out.

I feel the same way. There aren't many options when you are kayak fishing like I am besides going  to a lake which isn't nearly as enjoyable as moving water.  Guess when you have a jet like Hog, high water or low water doesn't really matter!

Been a weird year...Haven't fished any big water this summer, but have had some fun floating the headwaters, and some rarely floatable creeks. Two weeks of stable flow would be nice.

It still matters to me.  I get tired of fishing the fast flow. Sometimes I park the boat and get out to enjoy the relaxation of not fighting the fast flow and worrying about tearing my stuff up. The fish are more predictable at certain flows though. ( that's a clue by the way)

I know what you mean. I can't imagine how tiring and nerve wracking that must be.   At least you are getting some phenomenal results when its high and dirty to make it worth it.  Every time we get a hard rain I jump on OAF and look at the Meramec thread to see how you did, haha. You have caught some fantastic fish this year.

Pat our friend Aaron is fishing spots and areas that most others just don't even think about, his years of experience and knowledge base is unprecedented IMO....I'm very lucky to call him a friend, fishing buddy and business partner
