Johnsfolly Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I agree with trythisonemv that a hopper with a dropper fly will work. Less likely to spook the fish and one may take the hopper. I've had success with copper johns or prince nymphs under a hopper on Crane. Good luck. trythisonemv 1
Dkman Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Thanks again for all the great input! look forward to trying again both with and without.
bkbying89 Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 You could try a New Zealand indicator. They consist of a piece of rubber tube and sheep wool. They come in kit form and are easy to use and do not make a big plop when they hit the water, It does not take a lot of wool to float a small fly.
Flysmallie Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 The best thing to do is do what you want. You can catch fish on that little creek with or without indicators. Try it without and if you get frustrated and feel the need then try it with. Eric82, Daryk Campbell Sr, bkbying89 and 1 other 4
