Codywskeeter1521 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Me and cooper launched at shell knob bridge around 830 am. Yeah alittle bit of a late start. Started by throwing a whopper popper on long gravel run outs with little success. Made switch to channel swing banks with the whooper plopper. Finally started to catch some. That lasted till around 10. Went out and graphed some fish on the same gravel run outs picked up a couple more on a drop shot. My boy made the decision at around 12 it was lunch time. Made the run back to pizza hut ate some good ol pizza. Pulling out fixing to go under the bridge sure enough ran into Champ188 and his wonderful wife Donna floating around in his beautiful ranger boat. It sure was a pleasure to meet the both of you. Ran to viney and finally found the drop shot bite. Had to WORK for them but we did manage a solid limit and 16 shorts. All and all it was pretty Peace full out there and a couple wave pushers out. bluebasser86, Diamond City Fisher, dtrs5kprs and 7 others 10

Looks like you have the makings of a fine young man in Cooper. Glad you found the drop shot fish, but I must be getting older and crankier because I didn't think it was very peaceful out. lol magicwormman 1 Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915

They are handfulls but definitely are a blast and keep me on my toes lol. They both love the lake and the time we get out there together. 8 minutes ago, Donna G said: Glad you found the drop shot fish, but I must be getting older and crankier because I didn't think it was very peaceful out. lol Thank you we definitely had to work for each and everyone of them. Champ188 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Cooper is definitely a fine young man. Friendly, polite, etc. Easy to see he has good parents pointing him in all the right directions. There was definitely a football jig bite yesterday on runouts and bluff ends but from SK down to Big Creek, it was just plain dangerous to try and sit out there. And oh yes, if you run a royal blue-and-black BassCat and were running upstream between Big Creek and Campbell Point about 11 a.m. yesterday, you either need to cut back on the testosterone supplements or you're just a card-carrying idiot. Either way, please learn to drive a boat before you kill someone. Did have a very good fish smack my Plopper and hook up for about 10 seconds before just pulling off. Not a lake record or anything but from the strike and the short standoff we had, I'd guess around 6 pounds. It was fun while it lasted. Donna G, Codywskeeter1521, vernon and 1 other 4
