Old plug Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Some of those hybreds in your picture do not look legal. should be in the water not laying out for photos.
Drbucketmouth57 Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 I don't remember ever seeing anything in the conservation codes that say you can't take a picture of your catch regardless of whether it's "legal" or not. I've released unharmed more fish in a season than alot of people catch in a lifetime so please hold your comments about how I should conduct my business and worry less about mine and maybe a little more about yours. fishinwrench Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Hybrids are "legal" at any length. You just can't have more than 4 over 18". BilletHead, Riverwhy and 96 CHAMP 3
Old plug Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 WRENCH.....i may have confused something in my interpertation ,but not certain of that. I know what it says about 4 over 18 inches. I also know that the MDC pinches people for things the code does not clearly state. They will tell you the code tells you what you can do. If its not stated you cannot do it. Now when I read that it said 4 over 18. There is nothing said about anything else. So by there ways of doing things your limited to 4 over 18. Anything smallef would be illegal.
fishinwrench Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Nope. The difficulty for most folks to tell the difference between a White bass and a juvenile hybrid is why it is regulated that way. You are allowed 15 daily whether they are whites or hybrids UNLESS they are over 18". And you are allowed 4 of those (most likely hybrids....but I have caught 19" pure Whites). 96 CHAMP and BilletHead 2

Wrench, if you would post that article that shows the difference in the tongue patch that you have if you would, thanks
fishinwrench Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 http://www.arkansasstripers.com/identification-white-bass-striped-bass-hybrid-bass.htm The stripe below the hard lateral stripe has never failed me yet. It's way quicker to tell that way I think. This is just a big White. This is a pure Striper A Hybrid has more than one line going completely to the tail.
