I know this has been brought up before but I was just wondering if anybody has used these and if they were close to the pre rapalas. I'm tired of trying to find the pre raps on eBay and paying $20 for them.

I've had good success with them, but I've also found the new run of WW to be pretty good as well. A buddy of mine gets the one knocker WW blanks and paints them whatever color I want for way less than I can get the pre rap WW for.

I have A LOT and sold A LOT of the pre warts, but have bought and painted several of the Predator and I can't tell much, if any difference in which catches more. I honestly believe it is more about color, location, timing and presentation...... than which is a better bait. With that said, the pre warts have always worked in the past also. I do like the fact that Predator offers no sound, one knocker, suspending, etc to give you more options to try.

I have a couple that I need to fish, I got caught up in the Rock Crawler craze and just didn't fish warts much last year.  Send them off to Tim Hughes and get some painted in Mo Craw and V-37.

Lucky Strike G-5's are the old molds from what I hear, and they are 6-7 bucks.  New Warts are good too.

I saw that they re-released those. They were initially the "Warthog" and after a 99% complaint rate of them filling with water and sinking immediately had to pull them from the shelves. They look good, are a USA made product and local MO company which is great, but they have had QC issues in the past. So maybe get one or two before backing up the truck on them. Next TW order I will get one or two to try.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that a company has "the old wiggle wart mold" I would have been able to outbid Johnny Morris to buy out Cabela's.

Another mention is the Teckel Drunker. Has great hunting action and has a more subtle rattle. I like'm, but they come with junk hardware. But if you are a true wart junky type you are already swapping out hooks and rings anyways.

I swap out the rings on my golf towels a couple of times a year. :D

Tim, which model do you prefer ... one-knocker, silent, suspending?
