Quillback Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I hope a collector bought it, because that is the only thing that makes sense.

That color in an unopened box go for like $40-50 bucks. I think sometimes the sellers buddies bid stuff up to see if any idiot will just outbid them at an outrageous price well beyond the normal going rate. Then they don't make their buddies pay if they win the auction obviously and just relist it. But yeah, some colors like the SP's going for stupid $.
Sore Thumbs Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It's definitely possible. I'll keep an eye out for it and see if it resurfaces.
176champion Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It's called auto bid....i think the seller has a couple accounts on ebay and uses the extra accounts to auto bid to drive the price up. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
MOBass Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Heck even at $20 each I may have to go through my crank bait box and do some culling to finance some other goodies. Might be a weekend project for me. Hammer time 1

Old plug Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 l picked what I thought was a wiggle wart out of a brush pile earlier this year. After I got it home and all the slim cleaned off. I could read the name on the bill. It was Cotton Cordell's Wiggle O. Never seen one before. Put new hooks on it and tried it of the docks around here comparng its action to a white Wiggle Wart. I do not think trying to look at it from a fishes pre spective that there is enough action diferance to matter to a fish. Hammer time 1

I completely agree, this year caught lots with rc and they don't have rattles, just hunt and bang deeper that a wart. I remember when I first started fishing the Rock in 81, dad and used crawdad colored deep wee R's and did very well. Never ever used warts intil word got out and was the craze. Also, before 5&6xd strike king cb came out, all of my post spawn, summer deep cranking was with fat free shad or deep little n. If you put a good running cb in their wheelhouse banging and deflecting off rocks or wood a bass reacts and hits it. Imo
