I did something that i rarely do, fish evening into the dark, and throw topwater. Those are 2 things that normally doesnt peak my interest much, but headed down to Aunts Creek after work.  Launched at 5:20 as the only truck there. Started out fishing the main point towards the river with the Ned. Had 3 bites and missed them all. Motored to the back of Aunts and started throwing a topwater around timber. From 6:12 when i caught my first fish, to 7:37 when to pulled the boat out, i landed 7 fish with 6 of those being 16" or better, including a 19 1/2" fish. I missed more than i landed. Great evening to be out.

Nice fish!  I'm thinking that with all the pressure during the mornings and early afternoon that the fish may be adapting and feeding in the evenings.

Thanks guys, my topwater bait of choice, just to be different and because im to cheap to buy a plopper, is a Rage Tail. Its a soft bait with great action and sound. Heres a picture of it. if your not familiar with it, i would recommend giving it a try. Always glad to share info. This same bait won me 2 club tourneys. I missed 2 fish that knocked it out of the water. The only action was in the shade along the deeper side of the cove.
