LOL). And you're also implying that MDC, which according to you, suspects pen raised birds of spreading disease, but won't take action because it may interfere with the few commercial enterprises that raise game birds. Have MDC biologists gone to the legislature and asked them to outlaw raising game birds? If they haven't, which I doubt, I don't think it is because they are afraid the legislature will give them a hard time, I would think it is because they don't see it as a realistic threat to wildlife populations. Precisely why I said it is not an epidemic. But it can reduce local populations and in some extreme cases wipe them out. And then you get into the whole genetics of the situation. But there's not much use in explaining any of it to you you've already decided it is not true. Yet you have never spoken to a biologist on the subject either. First you said if it's heart beats it is regulated with seasons and limits. And that is not true. Hogs have no season and no limits. The same is true with every species of carp. And on a side note, when make the claim that it is fact, it ceases to be a personal thought. I thought there were limits on suckers.
Chief Grey Bear Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Are suckers in the carp family? I thought all carp had been imported? Hey Quill, this post sounds a little snotty. I didn't mean for it to come out that way. Not trying to point out an error, but there is no limit on carp in MO and you absolutely should keep every dang one you catch. If you're into that. Suckers, redhorse, etc are native and have harvest limits. BilletHead 1
