Old plug Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I will kind of second Thumbs on the drop shot but as a third choice most of the time. There are times in the dog days of summer when I will use nothing else or weeks on end.

I use it in the same places I throw a shakey head. It's great to throw around docks or cast out and reel it through suspended fish at a given depth. Plus you can put worms, craws, grubs, swimbaits or tiny flukes on it. There have been tournaments won fishing it shallow. I believe the Wood cup at Ouchita was won by a drop shot in an area with mud bottom with brush and lay downs. Good bait

I shouldn't but I do. I've watched countless A-Mart video on YouTube and like you said he is casting it and working it back to the boat quite often. Probably the best in the world with the drop shot so should follow his lead.

May be time to arrange for an intervention, boys. vernon and Sore Thumbs 2
Sore Thumbs Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Ha. I sound like you and your beloved Spinnerbait now.
