eyedabassman Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I must say this is my second time taking my motor in for repairs and they did a great job at a great price! The two wrench's are very cool guys and Bill let me wait on the repairs so I would not have to make another trip from Blue Eye to pick her up! i know where I will be going from now on! It is worth the extra miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! magicwormman, fishinwrench and Quillback 3
Fishrman Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Good to hear that. I live almost right next to them and they have done some work for me. Never had an issue with the quality of work. The price is better than a lot of places. The guys working in the back are top notch and know their stuff. If you have routine or regular maintenance I would have them do it. Quillback 1
merc1997 Bo Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 doug, the tech that runs the shop is really up on any brand of the newer engines. they even do prop repair. bill does not work in the shop any longer because of age, but i have done business with bill and dean(bill's wife) for decades. bill used to be next door at sportsman's corner and was one of the biggest mercury dealers in the country. they unloaded mercury engines by the trailer truck load, and dean had as good of stock of fishing tackle that you would find anywhere. back then, it was known as fin, feather, and fur. needless to say, by the name, they also dealt in guns. it has always been nice to have boat repair service right in the back yard, so to speak. bo eyedabassman, Quillback, Grumpy53 and 1 other 4
magicwormman Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Thanks for the info, Dan. I made the trip today for some service work. I had them change the impeller, lower unit grease and a few other small items. They were $50. cheaper than anyone on this end of the lake. Nice folks and very please with the work. They made the repairs while I took Mona to lunch. You can't beat that for service! eyedabassman and dtrs5kprs 2
