Bass Enforcer Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 So here are all the lures he found in two days. Pretty cool. He's far more disciplined than I am. I can't take that much time away from fishing. Dhunter1, Diamond City Fisher, Brian Jones and 2 others 5
MOPanfisher Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 That's a pretty good haul. I used to enjoy walking the banks and coves where the prevailing winds hit. Always get like I had won something when I found a decent lure.
abkeenan Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Nice loot. Looks like 4 warts and a Rock Crawler in there. It's pathetic but I am fairly certain I can name 100% of these baits. Who knew so many guys are still throwing HECK Benders? Donna G and Quillback 2

Hammer time Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I can't believe the number of hellbenders eithe! Had no idea guys still used them, that blows me away. The othe baits make sense DD-22 all the 5xd and 6xd and all the stick baits. Looks like might even be a Poes 400 in there abkeenan 1
Hammer time Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 There is even a Thinfin, top left corner second bait to the right. Wow! abkeenan 1
Johnsfolly Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Now looking at these selection of lures I recognize that I used to have a hellbender lure in my tackle box. I know that I have never caught any fish with that lure. When I was younger I would test lures while fishing a farm pond near my aunt in upstate NY. You could catch a bass or blugill on a bare hook. If I was not able to catch a bass in that pond with a lure it got thrown out. I had a perch colored hellbender and it did not get bit in that pond. So I was done with that bait. Royal Blue 1

That person probably just dumped out their Poe's box into the lake like everyone else should do that has any. The preferred dump site is the first cove on the south side of Beardsley Creek. To make things easier there is actually a trash receptacle hanging off the lone dock in the cove with a green roof. Just drop them off under this sign: Alex Heitman and Quillback 2
Hammer time Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 That is so funny, I laughed so hard my stomach hurts. Lol I'll just keep my 300 and 400 series to myself, take em out and look at em then put back. Great balsa bait, are they made anymore abkeenan?
Members Markhat Posted January 3, 2017 Members Posted January 3, 2017 I noticed the Hellbenders too and was surprised. My biggest largemouth and crappie of my life were both on a Hellbender in the 1970's. Bass was 8-4 and crappie was 17". Different colors.I still cant beat those!
