dtrs5kprs Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 That wally diver is an excellent bait. Most guys don't throw them, don't have a clue how, or when.

Members Jholder Posted January 6, 2017 Author Members Posted January 6, 2017 Thanks again for help! I'll post some more on Sunday, once I've sorted through the boxes a little more.

Flysmallie Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I don't know for sure but #10 looks a lot like a Bill Norman Scooper. Not sure if it's a little scooper or a super scooper. I'd have to dig one of mine out to measure it.

Rebels tend to have yellow eyes.
Members Jholder Posted January 6, 2017 Author Members Posted January 6, 2017 What's the easiest/best way to figure out if a bait is balsa or plastic?

Should be able to tell that right away by either the weight of the bait or the rattle/no rattle. Or just knowing the model and make will let you know what it's made of.

So is the paint/clear coat. A lot of plastic baits (like your Bombers) won't have the clear coat of a balsa bait. Exception would be the glitter coats like Norman's gel. Most Bagley's, Rapala will be balsa. Poe's are cedar. Most of the rest are plastic. abkeenan 1
