At least in Chesterfield.  I was up there yesterday, almost everything with a Cabelas logo on it was on sale and going fast.  Bare shelves, large holes in inventory.  No sales on other branded material.

From the looks of it, that store is closing soon.  And maybe the Cabelas brand.  That location has been failing for a while, almost everything around it has been on decline in the past few years.

Not really sure of anything, but that is what it looks like to me.  Keep an eye out, there may be some real good deals soon.

Bass Pro on the other hand was fully stocked and not real agressive about clearing out any fall inventory.

The one in Hazelwood you mean?   If so I think I read a while back they didn't renew their lease at the hoodlum mall.

I guess it is Hazelwood.  Just crossed the bridge to Chesterfield to Bass Pro.

Darn shame.   I always liked Cabellas better than Bass Pro.

Same here. Slight preference, but preference nonetheless. darn, I just bought me some waders from there a few weeks ago. Wonder if I could've got them for cheaper had I waited. Though, it's a good thing I looked up the online price listed on their website, or they would've overcharged me by a $100 as I was checking out. At least I'm liking these waders. And hope they hold up, cause if they don't and there's no store to return them to, that would complicate things.

Though to be honest, I feel like I've heard people say they'd be closing that store, several times now, and yet it's still open. Hope they keep it that way.

The Mills Mall went through bankruptcy...sold for pennies on the dollar for amount owed by the developer. Not a great location even with Cabela's as an anchor. Gander Mountain in Chesterfield should be next to go. Sitters not sellers.
