edwin Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Hi folks - I'm looking to have my boat cover modified, adding a skirt on the back to keep the morning sun off my boat. Anyone have a suggestion of a cover / upholstery shop around the lake that you've used and does good work? Closer to Kimberling City is definitely more convenient. Thanks in advance! edwin "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Hunter53 Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I would check with Aurora Canvas in Battlefield. They make a great boat cover so I would think they could do whatever you would need. Smalls21 and skeeter 2
LD Fisher Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 +1 ^. Used them last year for a cover to protect the boat from the morning sun. Cut a pattern out of brown paper and took it to them. Got it back quickly and it fit like glove!
m&m Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Edwin, I've used kimberling city upholstery on 13. While in there the owner was doing a bunch of boat seats and wind blocks for docks. It is in an L shaped strip mall on the west side of 13 north of the bridge. Mike
edwin Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 thanks folks...truly appreciate the insight! "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Dutch Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I use Karen at Gibbs Upholstery in Republic, MO for repair work. I've also had seats recovered and bed liners sprayed in at their shop.
GNSfishing Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I've used Gibbs to recover boat seats and they done an excellent job in workmanship and matching colors of the existing seats. I'd recommend them to anyone.....
edwin Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Thanks again folks! I've spent some time chatting with the Aurora folks, will be having them do the work. They've already got a template for the boat and need nothing to press fwd other than a check or credit card I truly appreciate the help.
