176champion Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Well since the wind is blowing 30 - 40 mph today, im staying home from fishing. dtrs5kprs 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
abkeenan Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 With the warm wind howling I'd be throwing a jerkbait, blade bait (spinnerbait or A-Rig) or a wiggle wart. You seem to have the touch with the wiggle wart so maybe start with that. Will be a chore to stay in the wind and fight it but that is where the fish will be. magicwormman 1
abkeenan Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Not down there so I don't know the exact conditions but be sure that you wear your life jacket at all times. 40 degree water temps and 40 MPH winds can get someone in trouble in a hurry. Stay safe. Oh yeah and make sure the troller batteries are good and charged. Patlock, vernon, Royal Blue and 3 others 6
vernon Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Unfortunately, it's that time of the year that pretty much whenever the temperature gets above 50 the wind's gonna howl. Most days for the next few months will probably be like that. Calm = cold, warm = wind. Well, except for those REALLY good days when wind = cold too! Hammer time Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Rogue or 5" smoke grub on windy channel banks and swings with cedar trees. abkeenan 1
