dan hufferd Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I am sure that he practices C&R he claims the bait will survive multiple catches, I guess I figured that the bait is lip hooked, so the bass leaves the boat in good shape. I guess I didn't really think to ask. As far as the bottom bouncer goes, I have used the walleye type bouncer a lot, at this time I do not recall ever gut hooking any type of fish on one. I am not saying that it wouldn't be possible but I don't think it has ever happened to me. I have caught bass catfish, bluegill, and walleye on a bottom bouncer. I have however hooked several gill plates and eyeballs with treble hooks on various types of lures. Also though they work well those triple grips are wicked. I would like to add that I use a single, usually rotating hook on most of my harnesses This may help save the fish, but that is not the reason I changed, I like the action that it gives the crawler. That is my walleye secret for today. Johnsfolly 1
