Something like this.  Pumpkinseed Orange flake. 

I was just curious, and you said you offered special runs.  I would assume you would have to make a batch of mix from scratch or order.  I am sure this question will come up, I was just throwing it out.  And it would have to be a soft texture, they seem to like softer plastic where I run.

At first glance it looks like our dark green pumpkin color, we would have to add orange flakes. The hardness will not be changed.

The web photo looks like there is too much brown in it.  We may have to get together sometime and hash this out.  Main thing, just checking if you could do it and to see what a custom run may cost.  Of course, you will have to take a vow of silence and not let any secrets out.

I bought a mold a few years back and played with it when a lure I was using became obsolete.  But the colors were solid, not blended like you are doing.  Yours are a work of art.

Got mine today, apparentlythey were delivered yesterday as the mail doesn't run on Sunday.  Great Service,  seriously.   I love the look of them, and plan to separate the 5 packs I bought into 1 color/pack.   I  have a few special people to give them to.  And keep the rest for myself.  Amazing looking baits, and heads.  Can't wait to give them a try in a few desired holes.  Look out 2017.

well worth the 46 minutes watching the presentation , I learned a lot . I will most likely  be in Al's camp as far as how I fish it .

 I plan on trying them on the Mr. Twister weighted keeper hooks as well . I may have to open the gap on the hook , shave a little of that extra meat off or both . With the weight on the hook shank , it tends to give it a keel effect and it tends to  glide over cracks in the bottom . I use it as a search bait but a slower search bait than a crankbait , rattlebait or spinnerbait . Those jigs coupled well with the  out of production 4.5 inch Berkley Power Pulse worms so your craw should fit right in .

 I'll have to see how the 5/16 oz head works on my river as usually I use from 1/16 to 1/4 oz  jigs . I wonder how much the extra 1/6 oz will affect both the drop rate and forward speed of the rig .

 

 I couldn't see how much you opened the wire guard for fishing rocks, could you give me an estimate on how much . Also have you tried super glue if the wire guard starts getting the frizzies ?

 

 Seeing as how the gel scent penetrates do you think putting the craws in a ziplock bag full of thawing soft shells would be effective ? That way you could get the look and scent of softshells if you fish them as Al describes .

 

 Are you using glass rattles on the insert and do you take a small bit of the cored out plastic to seal the top of the hole ? Instead of gluing the plug in place you can peg it with a short piece of mono running thru the craw and the plug . I used to peg plastic worms thru the eye of the hook like that back when I was worming heavy weeds in still water for largemouth .

 

 Also you can use the coring tool to insert pieces of alka seltzer instead of inserting a rattle, give the bass a little fizzing action while they are eyeballing it . Sometimes that will get them to commit a little sooner as it sits next to the cover .

Regarding the hole for the rattle, they make a commercial grade plastic core device made out of brass, I believe. But a buddy of mine uses sections of an old telescoping car antenna. It has several diameters to accommodate different size rattles. Yea, I remember they used to make a fizzing alka seltzer product for tubes!?

We leave the craws in the packaging to maintain shape; but you could put them in a bag with scent if you want. Keep in mind that the movement of the claws is important, and if they are out of shape or twisted incorrectly, they don't quite act the same.

5/16 oz seems to be the best size weight for the craw for most river conditions. It will get down pretty quickly in current and you can reasonably fish it down to 10-12 feet pretty easily. You might need to use a tad heavier equipment than you are currently using. I like a medium or medium heavy fast tip rod, 6-7' long. 12-15 lb test line.

I use weighted swim bait hooks for the exact same reason.  By far the best I've ever used for working through rocks without wedging.  The down side is the hook up ratio is not as good as the exposed jig hook.  The other problem is I've had a problem finding wide gap weighted swim bait hooks heavier than 1/8oz that can still fit a 3.5" craw.  The up side is the keel effect gives it the most natural drop presentation which is where I get a lot of my strikes.  That is all based on the savage crews and huddle bugs which are probably going to be optioned down to AA ball while the new Tackle HD's join the starting rotation for 2017!

if anyone has time to mold up some 5/16oz extra wide gap swim bait hooks that can fit the big craw I would be happy to give em a field test!  ?
