Question about tin boats

Since you used to have a glass boat and are familiar with the lift you may be disappointed in most tin boats.  The only one out there that I have ever been in with any kind of lift is the Xpress.  Brutons down at Golden carry them.  It would be worth your time to arrange a test ride in one.  A friend of mine has had one for 15 years and it still looks and runs like a new one.

My boat is an Alumacraft 175 with 90 Yamaha.  Nice boat.  Couple buddies have 18 ft. Crestline and they are great as well.

What changes did BPS make to the Ranger aluminum series hull?  I watched a couple older videos of the 198P with a 150 hp on it...... Seemed stable and fast for an aluminum series.  I've heard rumors of changes in the Ranger alum series, but haven't verified.   Any thoughts or facts on BPS changes?
