mixermarkb Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Hey Bull Shoals friends. Did the lake totally dry up yet??? Haven't picked up a rod since June. Work and dad life has been brutal on the fishing time this year- but I'm hoping to be on the water on Tuesday. I hope everyone has had a good winter so far. Ham Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 You'll catch some fish for sure, but I don't have much to offer. Water temps never got below 40 degrees. So they will still bite, but I would not expect the big numbers for March/April/May/June. Ive been busy on rivers. I "guided" my daughter, my son, and a friend of their's on the White yesterday. We didn't knock it out the park, but everybody caught fish. A mix of fly rods and Zig Jigs. Diamond City Fisher and dtrs5kprs 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. mixermarkb Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 I'm a fan of winter fishing. I hear there had been a great crankbait bite all winter. Looks like life might be sneaking up on me again though, if I do get to hit the lake tomorrow I'll post up a report.

Was just wondering where you had packed yourself off to the other day. Good to see you back on board.
mixermarkb Posted February 7, 2017 Author Posted February 7, 2017 Thanks Dave. I've been lurking around from time to time, but it's been a crazy busy year. Looking forward to getting some brain space back for fishing. dtrs5kprs and Ham 2

I hope you get more fishing time this year. grizwilson 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

mixermarkb Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 It ain't good at all. We also moved into the STL burbs to be closer to my Mom, so I don't even have the little lake out back we had at Cedar Hill. Literally haven't made a cast since the last week of May.

Barring some time of healthcare issue, that's never going to happen to me. Not for ANY reason I have any control over. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
