abkeenan Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 That's a dandy. Congrats Donna and Champ. Team effort! But if you think for one second you are fooling me with that photo with an aptly placed ned front and center, you got another thing comin'. LoL. magicwormman and Donna G 2

It was late in the day and the last bass I caught, too. He's always working to help me catch them. One thing he doesn't get to do is take over when I have a wild one like this. I think he wanted to, though.. hehehe She's joking. I wouldn't even THINK of taking the rod from her or anyone else and deny them the thrill of catching a big bass. Besides, that was the absolute finest job I've ever seen of anyone landing a big bass on 6-pound line. I wish I had videoed it for use in my new instructional guide service. She let the fish run when it wanted by hand-stripping line from the reel and then recovered line when it let her. It took her around the back of the boat and finally came to my hand at the driver's seat. 3 hours ago, Johnsfolly said: Great bass Donna! Crongrats! Looks like a Ned rig in its mouth. Can't quite make out the color, green pumpkin maybe? Glad to hear that Champ let's you reel in your own fish. Good luck in the tournament. Kinami 4-inch grub in Natural Shad on a 3/16 ballhead. I had her swimming it around a dock where we'd run into a school of nice spots the other day. abkeenan, magicwormman, big c and 5 others 8

I'm just scared of these two sticks!? We are no threat at all in a big-bass event, although Donna could be if she wasn't stuck with an old bank-beating river rat like me. I'm lucky to catch a few keepers now and then. Johnsfolly, Quillback, magicwormman and 2 others 5
