fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Say it ain't so! They are discontinuing it ???? I went to order some and all anyone has it in is Moss Green, which is fine for Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits, and Topwater stuff, but I want "clear florescent" for jigging, worming, and Wacky rigging. If I have to switch lines I'm gonna have a freakin' meltdown. ? grizwilson and Hog Wally 2
J-Doc Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 This is bad. This is very very bad........ Keep it together now. Breathe! We will get through this somehow. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 Yeah I finally found some remaining clear florescent at Sportsman's warehouse and snatched up enough for this year, but it appears that CX Premium is going bye-bye. Too bad, it is (WAS) perfect line IMO. Never fails.
Ranger520vx Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 I just bought some clear florescent in 12 and 15 today at Bass Pro. Never used it before but wanted to give it a try. Now I will probably like it and won't be able to get it lol.

That's funny, I tried to order from BPS and it said "out of stock- out of production- no backorder". But yeah, you'll like it. It's good stuff.
Ranger520vx Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Well if I like it I hope I can still find it. I got it at the store in Olathe, I had to go up that way today so thought I would hit some of the spring classic specials.
moguy1973 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 I love this line. They don't show it on their website anymore so it looks like they are getting rid of it. I've tried the CXX and it's ok. Seems a lot less limp than the CX Premium. The Academy in St Louis had some in stock of all the colors last time I was there. Guess I should stick up while I can. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 CXX is very tough line, but that's about the only good property it has. Too stiff for anything but flipping heavy cover with a short line. I am going to throw a fit on their FB page and see if I can round up a posse. ?
fishinwrench Posted March 2, 2017 Author Posted March 2, 2017 It looks like they are trying to replace it with that C21 crap. I have tried it before and it's OK for Crappie line, but way too soft and stretchy for a good Bass line.
