They both catch fish, but the older ones have a duller thud sound because if the lead rattles, the new ones have steel rattles with a higher pitch. 

The RK crawler has a very low thud & might be a better bait.

The RK is. A better bait in 6-10 foot of water. The Wart is better in < 6 foot of water.

Yep, I experimented with the RK and it didn't do so well when casting right up to the bank.  For me the textbook "Wart Bite" happens about 5-8 cranks from the shoreline.  You just can't beat a WW.

the square bill is better in 5-6ft of water, IMO

 

I have all 3 on deck for each range:

SQ- 2-5ft

WW- 6-10ft

RK- 9-12ft

The mags bring about 1/4-1/3 the price of the regular wart.
