New boxes or Split rings

I don't know what irritates me more.   I bought a dozen or so new boxes (3600,etc) the other day. Watching basketball I decided I would start to change bad boxes with the new ones.   Taking apart the plastic dividers is a pain in the rear!  I've got plastic tabs flying around the cave, cut myself once and I'm on box 3.   Any secrets other then my razor knife ?   And no, these aren't the $30.00 ones that look like a Pelican case.

I usually end up using a razor knife too, but always thought a pair of these would be slick for that.

I just use my pocket knife.  Box cutter razor knives are the clumsiest things ever, I hate them for anything other than opening boxes.

Toenail Clippers might do the trick.

I just use a regular pair of scissors, the little tab still goes flying though
