dtrs5kprs Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I call it the cheap do nothing lure that catches fish. Cast it out leave a little slack in your line...look at the birds, squirrels or check email.....real in fish...repeat. seems like that's when I get the most bites...when I'm not paying attention LoL 100% correct. A few folks who have fished with me have seen my favorite no feel trick- continuing to shake the bait when it is out of the water and about 4' from the rod tip. That's when you know you really can't feel it. Muddy Water, Champ188 and magicwormman 3

I challenge everyone to take me to the worst spot on the lake and you can always catch fish on the ned. It only took me about two years to try it, after one of local pros told me about the ned about 5 years ago. The beauty of the ned is that it will catch fish 365 days a year, not a seasonal deal like so many of our baits. Agreed, some days there are better and more enjoyable ways to catch them. If I was lost in the wilderness and could have one lure to survive on it definitely would be the NED. Muddy Water 1
Mitch f Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Someday when my wife is gone back to China for three weeks, and I get a break in my businesses, and the stars are aligned, I'm going to give Dave a call. We will fish Table Rock, and he will show me the ropes. Until then, I have to rely on fishing one time every month for about 4 hours. I will probably fish the Gasconade from start to finish, the Meramec from start to finish, the Upper Mississippi, and then head to Table Rock for a few days. I'll probably end the trip by going for 2-3 days to Pickwick. Hog Wally has been kind enough to let me keep my boat at his gutter shop (at the end of the craw shack) for a couple of years now. I picked it up a couple of days ago to get it back into shape so I could finally take it out. I planned on going yesterday but was debating because of the forecasted lightning. I finally decided to go and remembered my fishing license had expired. I went to Walmart to get a new license, and low and behold, I had left my drivers license back at home. Oh well, I guess it just wasn't my day. dtrs5kprs, vernon and Muddy Water 3 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
