vernon Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 49. Hmmm. Sittin' here trying to remember 59 and not having a lot of luck. Enjoy I say! The world is your oyster! Well, for at least another 8 - 10 years. Should be plenty of "live" ones out there to choose from in that age group. magicwormman 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." m&m Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 If you want to ease back in don't forget the OAF one bass tourney on April 22nd. The is a thread on here that explains it. Mike Donna G, rps, magicwormman and 1 other 4
rps Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 49? I moved to the lake when I was 52 to start a second career. That was 15 years ago. I no longer fish all day - living on the lake means I do not need to. I also have given up cold wet days and ice in the guides days. But added together, 80+/- days a year I am on the water for at least part of the day. You have a long fishing career still ahead of you. magicwormman, vernon and big c 3
Tfsh4bass Posted March 21, 2017 Author Posted March 21, 2017 Thanks everyone! Me not fishing isn't about my age as I have been fortunate to keep myself in decent shape over the years. I just took a little break to buy then remodel some rental properties along with flips plus started a vending business. We do almost all the work ourselves and were actually remodeling 5 houses at once during the 2nd half of last year. The last couple of years I usually worked around 80hrs per week but my plan is to calm that down some and fish more which is why I bought a newer Skeeter in November. I would like to fish a few tournaments this year but mainly interested in just more time on the water. magicwormman 1

This isn't about your age, it's about all of us old, self pitying fools trying to get the rest of the world to pay attention to us and HOPEFULLY feel really, really sorry for us. Old farts love attention and sympathy in large quantities. Cash donations are also welcome! Best of luck on your "restart" though - enjoy! 1farmer, magicwormman, rps and 3 others 6 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
