Quillback Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 First off, congrats to Carl W with big bass at 3.79. Ned fish I believe. Sorry for no pics, I just got too busy at the end and completely forgot to get the camera out. Quite a few decent bass in the 2.75-3.25 range were weighed in. Many of the folks I talked to reported good numbers of fish caught, I thought it would be tough with the cold front and lake rising several feet in the last day, but the folks did well. Ned, Shaky head, Keitech and fluke were what I heard they were catching them on. Food was fantastic, chili and dogs, burgers, Peruvian potato salad, several tasty salads, rice crispy bars, cookies, and some other stuff, too much for me to remember. Amazing how much food a couple of dozen hungry fisher people can consume, LOL. Thanks to all of you who brought stuff. Thanks for the contributions to the Christian Action Ministries, a good program that feeds people in the Springfield area. Let's do it again next year! cheesemaster, magicwormman, crazy4fishin and 9 others 12
jeb Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Wow, shorting the guy already! It was 3.89, IIRC! Thanks for putting this together, Jeff. It was great to come up and put some faces with the names we see here. Donna G, Hunter53, Muddy Water and 2 others 5 John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

crazy4fishin Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Yep - it was a great time....and Carl did use the Ned....if I understood correctly, for the first time! They grow up so fast!!! From what I remember he was telling us that he ran from the front of the boat to the back of the boat playing the GGGGGG iant and finally wore him out a bit then laid on the deck of his boat and snatched the "swamp donkey" from its watery home.....or something like that....that Carl is quite the story teller He had us all on the edge of our seats wondering how it would end!! By the way Dave - - I did find out that one of our group has never used the Ned...I wont say his name out loud.....but he has a number in front of champ ....I am not sure how that got missed on the admittance paperwork..... Thanks to everyone that helped set up, tear down, eat and fish, it was good to put a face to the name/ screen name...and we sure missed those of you who didn't get a chance to join us....the weather was a bit iffy at first but it really improved by the time we got off the water. Bushbeater Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Sounds like I missed a great time. I had planned to fish with and meet you all before the date got changed. I had thought I would have company here at LOZ for the BBB but the weather changed all that too. Do another one soon, maybe a fall event? crazy4fishin, Quillback and Muddy Water 3
96 CHAMP Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I am glad I finally got down to meet some of you guys, had a good time and all the food was great. Thanks to Quillback and Muddy Water for setting everything up. Thanks for blowing my cover Crazy, I guess I'll have to start throwing that little rig that doesn't catch fish!! Lol ?
