Management is good if done properly and the results are truly reprted rather than pressured by some outside group. Then there is INFORCEMENT. As far as I am concerned there is vertially none. I have lived her on the banks of LOZ for well over 20 years and have only seen agents out not more than three times. In the same time period I have seen uncountable voilations. I often see Summer people keeping crappoe no bigger than my hand as well as small bass we refer to as dinks. . Amen on enforcement! Went to LOZ every single summer when I was a kid. I would never go to that lake today for fear of my personal safety. I fish Table Rock fairly regularly and fish Beaver often. In my 8 years living and fishing here I have been stopped a total of zero times- that includes fishing and wakeboarding- lots of days on the water. No excuse for a guy who is on the water as much as me never encountering law enforcement. magicwormman 1
Basfis Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Cutting my teeth on Truman, it seems Mother Nature has more impact than man ever could on fish populations and size. With the intent of the lakes being flood control, what reproduction we get is what it is. Win some, lose some Same goes for waterfowl hunting. Corp seems determined to pull a lake out of the vegetation just before a migration. Not sure MDC is the culprit so much as the lakes (LOZ aside) exist for a different purpose and recreation is a byproduct. The rock always seems to have fish for me and more than it used to.
