Just a heads up and reminder of things to come.  Fished the mid James and there's debris floating EVERYWHERE!  Generally, when the Corp is pulling water hard the debris seems to move to channels and stay there as it makes its way downstream.  I noticed the debris was scattered all over the lake and then realized there wasn't as much current as the week previous.  Checked the Corp website and sure enough, not as much water being pulled.  Enough stuff floating we decided not to move around a lot.  Water is 62° with 1"-2" of visibility.  Did see some tuna rigs and ocean going vessels and yes, two jet skiers. All running hard through the gauntlet of floaters, semi-floating and other items of interest, maybe a certain amount of liquid courage involved, not sure.

As a reminder....... as the weekend homeowners get down more and more......They will be clearing their docks and yards of debris.  This means a lot more big trees and limbs forthcoming for the early summer and summer as many will push a lot of this stuff into the lake.  Nothing against them doing it as we did a bit of that for my dad this past week, but the lake will have a fair amount of debris everywhere for a fair amount of the summer.  Just a reminder.

Lot of it ends up in windblown notches, bluff cuts, etc.

Yep, noticed that yesterday too.  Lots of floaters and one wake boat going right through pulling a boarder, crazy  The debris ends up like dtrs5kps said and on the bottom from getting water logged. Seems like this is a yearly norm now.

I am coming down on Thursday for a couple of weeks. Last time I was down was the last week of October. Lake was 4 or 5 feet low then. Now I'm going to deal with 16 or 17 feet high. What's a guy to do? I am following the posts tying to get a handle the bite. I can tell you that I would be lost without this forum. I am staying in the mid James up by the hideaway Marina. Thanks for the heads up about all the debris. Most of all, I hope all you local folk are faring this latest flood okay. Any suggestions would be appreciated. See you all soon.

Backyard bite is going to be the deal for a while, unless you want to drag something on the old bank line. Problem with that is picking which old bank line, lol.

When it gets up like this, they get on the oak trees. Convenient, since flooded yards are about the only places you can get at the bank.

I understand that the Ned has been good. Also the Keitech. I fish those alot of different ways. I'll keep reading and hope that they drop the water a bit.

Ned will work out on the bank line fish, and up in the trees. Don't get too distracted by all the cool looking green trees with 15' on them. Not a high percentage deal.
