So far a somewhat dissapointing spring for hummingbirds. We have only had one migrating male at our feeders and that was almost two weeks ago.

On the flip side Livie already has monarch caterpillars that are pretty large and two are getting ready to pupate.

    Strange year for us here too. We have a grand total of two. Normally they are thick right now?

We see a decline this time a year for a few weeks then they Re done nesting and laying eggs and start showing up again. Usually early and late at first then all day long around end of may beginning of June.

     Good thinking we will get them back. I just cannot remember this many disappearing. for any length of time,
