I have no disdain for carp. Think that they are a great fighting fish. Great catches! Congrats to all the lucky anglers. I haven't found a relatively local population of grass carp near Columbia. Caught commons in Eagle bluff CA.

I have not landed a grassy yet, I am told frozen fresh green peas are the bait to use, I saw where several huge ones where shot out of TR.....I never saw one in TR

No grassy for me either.  Dozens if not hundreds of commons though.  I haven't been since my kids grew up and they quit going.  I have a honey hole near my house that we would bait up and hit it in the evening for a smack down on them.  10 pounders on Scooby Doo rods were a blast for the kids.

I would love to find a consistent carp bite for my daughter. Eagle bluffs can be hit or miss. PM me if you don't mind sharing good carp spots.

don't know the columbia area, carp can be tough to catch, usually night is a better time.... chumming a spot for a few days with soaked feed corn can help.....
