I have seen a lot of Phil's videos as well and I also personally saw a brown trout down there one time that was at least 26 to 28" in length. I had a friend hook and lose a brown that he estimated at over 10 lbs. Based upon those observations, I look at Taneycomo as the place where I could catch a trout of a lifetime in Missouri and know that the potential for a 6 lb trout is there. My personal best are a 4 lb 5 oz rainbow and a 5 lb 4 oz brown, both of which were caught in the Current river, which is part of the reason for setting my "trophy" limit. Don't get me wrong, I will enjoy every 10 to 12" stocker that I catch and really enjoy those over 20":)!

I am always glad to see kids and young adults catching their trophies and thank Phil for posting them here for us to enjoy.
