Fishing is S L O W right now for LOZ standards.  The locals are struggling to bring in 15lbs in weeknight tourneys, 12lbs is getting checks..  Pattern?  Pick one, or three and you can catch a few fish.  My best spots have been brushpiles in 8-15 fow with a 1/4oz shaky head and small worms in just about any color.

I have yet to find fish stacked on a point.

Keep in mind those weeknight tournaments are 4 and 3 fish limits instead of the normal 5. Regardless the bite does sound like it has slowed. Heading down next weekend to see if I can find a few!

Oh, ya I guess some might not know that but still, even the last friday nighter brought light bags to the scales I think 13lbs got a check in the last one...for 5 fish.

My daughter and I were on the Gravois today, in a spot that I bet you've never seen. 😀

Welcome to the headwaters....

Seriously good times !  👍😋

I used to paddle up about as far as I could go up the Gravois in my kayak before I got my boat. Gets real nice up that way.

Wrench, would those be good patterns to try in main-lake coves as well?  I gather that most folks are fishing upstream to avoid the traffic this time of year... but a family event will have us staying in the MM14 area next week.  First time on LOZ.

If your there around four seasons. Run point to point. Try around the water fall house both sides of his dock. Just drag something on the bottom.

I wish those small jaws would come out on the main lake.  Breed up and make us some mean mouths.  What a fight.

There was a dude up the Niangua (quite a ways below Tunnel dam) that caught some giant meanmouth's a few years ago, he used to post here but I think he sold his place and moved out of the area.  I catch a few in the lower part of the creek, below the smallie water.

Surprisingly we saw no spotted bass at all today.  All LM and SM.  Lots of beaver sign, no sign of any otters.
