Members kvo113 Posted July 29, 2017 Members Posted July 29, 2017 Finally found some fish after a long hot day with few bites. Had 15-20 fish, 3 keepers. One was 17.5" and another 19.5-20". Shakey head with mag trick worm. Most of the numbers were on a drop shot dragged from 8 out to 20 foot of water but the keepers were on the shakey head. Caught the big one around midnight in 4-8 foot of water relating to a dock corner surprisingly. We were out out again this morning with few bites but hopefully will get on them again tonight. Side note, this lake is becoming more and more like lake of the ozarks. Saw a wake boat with two little kids on a tube make a full speed u turn in the middle of the channel near 13 bridge and they cut right in front of a bass boat, who had to steer hard to avoid the tube. Complete idiocy. Water patrol was in the cove nearby but didn't see it I guess. This post has been promoted to an article dan hufferd, Quillback, Sore Thumbs and 5 others 8
rangerman Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Good night! I found some on the ends of gravel points, stacked, in 20 foot of water. Had a mix of species with a size 5 rippin rap. Worked it ripjigged like I do for walleye up north. Helinksi sjad colored. i agree, I have been down here since I was a kid and I just can't believe what this lake has become. I would like to throat punch whomever developed wake boats however, I guess it's only the operators fault. I remember days were I could sit on our dock all day long and see bottom in 12 foot of water no problem. Now it's just a muddy mess. Very sad. Browning Guy, magicwormman, bobby b. and 3 others 6

Very sad. hate to mention this since you have a dock, but the docks are what invites the bigger boats. if there were not any docks, the size of the boats would decrease. i have always been one to take your toys back home with you, and not leave them in the neighbors yard. i always figured that everyone had a right of way to the shoreline on public waters, but it is being covered up with docks. bo Browning Guy, Royal Blue, dtrs5kprs and 3 others 6

Watch the shoreline.... in the a.m. 2' visibility at best, by afternoon............8"-10" visibility. Meetings about the Corps Shoreline Management plan tonight at the Chateau on the Lake 4:00-7:00, Shell Knob Methodist Church (I think) same time tomorrow night and Reeds Spring High School Wednesday night. Tell your neighbors and fellow fishermen, attend and let the Corps and Water Patrol know.
