Looks like the generation pattern has finally changed to match the cooler weather we're enjoying.

No generation over night, less than one unit running starting at 8 or 9, then heavy this afternoon.

Thanks Phil.  I'll be in Branson tomorrow and Friday.  Best chances to fish will be Thursday afternoon/evening or very early Friday morning.  I'd really like to wade up by the dam, but I understand that it's not worth the time if water is running.  Is that true?  What would be my best chance of getting some fly fishing in?

Thanks in advance.

Tomorrow - water off all morning, on at noon.  <1 unit at 1, 1 at 2 pm.  Then almost 3 units at 3.  It's not impossible with 3 but not the best.  Friday morning is your best bet unless you can get there before 3 pm.

I'm going wading in the morning, but not at the dam.  Taking a boat to the Narrows first, then may be work our way up, or down from there.

So I made it out but broke off my rod tip getting set up.  Only brought one rod.  That'll teach me to never leave home without a backup. Bummer.

Bummer.

I whacked em yesterday.

The rebar chute is totally different again.

I pulled in around 6:30 am to only a few cars. Most were fishing the outlets and two people down at what was big hole.

Me and another guy got first crack at rebar and it only took about 20 minutes to move around until we found where they were stacked.

Another 20 minutes to dial it in and it was one after another.

I left after 2.5 hours or so to let someone else take a turn.  Went between 2nd and 3rd outlet and there were hundreds midging.  Whacked em there too.

Left around 11:30 after a wonderful experience.
