laker67 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Fished before, during and after the eclipse today. Fish were super active before and during but slowed somewhat after. Caught maybe 30. Best fly prior was an eclipse tan. During the eclipse I changed to an eclipse gray. Park had a light crowd. Great day to be watching the water instead of the sky. Johnsfolly Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 laker67 glad you got out and were successful on trout prior to and during the eclipse. Great job! You should remember where You were when there was the last total eclipse in the US☺! laker67 1
laker67 Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 Fished again today with about the same results as yesterday. Park was a little more crowded. The rain we had last night and this morning did not affect the creek to any degree that I could tell. Caught one fish maybe 3.25 to 3.50. Nice healthy rainbow with lots of fight. He made one full body jump and several short runs. The eclipse flies would not work today. Had to use regular tan and gray on a 16. Talked with some veterans from project healing waters. Great day to be on the water again. JestersHK, Johnsfolly and snagged in outlet 3 3
