fowlthing Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Put in at 3;00 fished until dark. Caught 19 with 4 barely keepers. One LM and rest spots. Lost a good smallie. Used PBJ Jig, red finesse worm, cinnamon twin grub, and topwater near dark. And some drop shot. Got one on a 5 inch kietech swim bait over some deeper water. Mostly on points, throwing to the bank... coming back to 25 to 30 foot deep. Saw a guy drop shotting on a dropoff in a big flat... he didn't stay long. Did see two guys on one point just pounding the small bass.. don't know what they were using but they were having a total ball... didn't want to get too close... but every time we looked over they had one on. Was really fun to see how much fun they were having. Good luck to everyone... I am headed to Tenkiller next weekend... Bass Yakker, Johnsfolly, magicwormman and 3 others 6
merc1997 Bo Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 hey, you are not supposed to be catching my transplanted brownies. i caught on of them the other night myself. might be heading down to see if we can bring back a few more tonight. bo
dblades Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Got out yesterday afternoon a couple hours, only caught one keeper LM on a jig, had a few shorts. Mainly fished windy bluff banks with broken rock, worked the jig down to 20 feet or so. Fishing the lower Kings River area. Quillback 1

Fished one of the Bella Vista lakes early this morning, I had on two long sleeve shirts and I got a little cold, that just hardly ever happens in August. magicwormman 1

Played in a golf tournament yesterday up in Seneca, Ks. and at 900 in the morning the temperature was 55! Had to be the first time in my 64 and 1/2 years that at any time on any day in August that I've ever heard a bunch of grown men grumbling about the "cold" and hoping that it warmed up! My brother and I were both wishing that we had "remembered" to take a pullover. Really? How does one forget to take warm clothing for an outing in August in Kansas? Hope Labor Day weekend doesn't get snowed out! big c and magicwormman 2 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
