Members streamer Posted September 10, 2017 Members Posted September 10, 2017 Made it back out today to BB for walleye with the youngest kiddo and a friend. Not as good of a day as we had on Labor Day because of no breeze or chop on the lake. Managed to get a dozen fish to the boat with 6 keepers over 4 hours. Still beats a good day at work! Old dog 417, Big Keene, oghfm and 4 others 7
dan hufferd Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 That's a good day. Thanks for sharing
Big Keene Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 thats a great day by my standards! how deep were you finding them? Illegitimi non carborundum (Never let the bastards grind you down)
Members walleye4butch Posted September 11, 2017 Members Posted September 11, 2017 Streamer, nice to meet you out on Stockton. I was in the polar kraft. We managed 9 on Friday 7 Saturday and 8 Sunday we really needed more wind, caught most of ours on bottom bouncers and weight forward spinners. Many of our fish also came in 16 - 20ft but a few larger ones in 10 -14ft.
Members Hawgeye Posted September 23, 2017 Members Posted September 23, 2017 Wife and I had our best walleye day ever on Stockton last Saturday. Mid-day to early evening, windward side of mid-lake Big Sac flat edges where we couldn't keep the walleye off our BB/spinner rigs with half crawlers. Had a 3 - 4 hour period where we rarely went 10 minutes without a keeper on. All of them on a spot on the spot hump in 15 - 18ft. Previous weekend to last, it was another mid-day spot on the spot day along a flat edge for eyes when I couldn't buy a walleye, between HORDES of bluegills, anywhere else except on that 50 yd spot. It would have been a grand day to take the grandchildren out for endless bluegill action. This year using improved electronics with Lakemaster maps to find those spot-on-the spot locations for eyes that I couldn't get to bite anywhere else. Catching more 21 - 23 inchers this year than I have in past years. Mother nature always giving free lessons... Question for the many I've learned from on this forum: Anybody had success with Jigging Raps and Shiver Minnows on Stockton during any time of year other than when they're down deep in colder periods? Getting off here to hook up the boat and drag wife out on Stockton again today. Hoping for another of those days! Big Keene 1

I cut the front hook off the jigging rap, if you don't it will be gone in about 5 minutes. They do work for many different species, but they are far from snag free. Expect to loose every one you throw. Really !
