12lbs a day average won it.  Amazing how fish disappear this time of year when a lake has no water moving through it.  I wonder how many tried Ever's winning spot from the classic?

They dropped the water level in lake...and it's pretty messed up right now.  I think overall bass fishing has been tough all year...to me it is has gotten tougher and tougher every year for past 4 or 5 years.  I think there is something wrong with the bass fishing in the lake...

poop water from the chicken plant at southwest city can't be helping..also heard that keep catching the "newly american" Hyper Harvesting fish out of Grand ( by hook-castnet-and gillnets...enforcement is nonexistent on Grand, can't ever say I saw a CO much less been checked or creel checked.....Guatemalans, Costa Ricans, Mexicans and now I hear Nigerians...all being brought into work at "The World's Largest Poultry processing Plant"....but its over the line in Missouri-not much Oklahoma or Grand Lake Water Authority can do about it at least till it gets lots worse

I would argue about nonexistent enforcement on Grand.  A year ago I got checked by the GRDA.

My dad was a co-angler with the 3rd place pro (from Japan). Said they caught a fair amount of  fish, but the guy never gave him any water, even casting toward the rear of the boat. I think my dad ended up with one keeper the first day and the pro ended with 13.5.  They were in 1-3 fow the entire day and all fish came on a chartreuse square bill.  He said it was pretty interesting, as the guy didn't speak any english, so it was a little quiet! :)

He had a blast though!

That sure doesn't sound like a blast to me. A few casts toward the front of the boat and the rude fellow might have gotten a clue even if he couldn't talk.
