Gavin Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Looks like the front sling mount on my Benjamin should work or file to fit. Mine is already bent, order extra. The pellet gizmo is a good idea but have been happy with the pellet pens from pyramid.

Yeah, the pens don't work for the 1322 pistol, and they tend to swell up the skirts..... especially the last 4-5 if you aren't real gentle about it. Can you snap a pic so I can see which pin it goes on. I don't think mine has room for it, I may need a longer pin also.

fishinwrench Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Thanks. Sorry to put you through that, because now I've decided to go this way, with a barrel band.
Ketchup Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Good choice. ^^ TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
Gavin Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Think I'll get a barrel band gizmo too. Stock part is a POS, as were the iron sights. Would love an adjustable peep and an adjustable front sight post on a reasonably priced air rifle. Just like the old USMC issue M16-A2's I used to qualify with. Prefer good irons over a scope. More reliable and just as accurate if you know how to use them. Terrierman 1

If so it didn't even make it through 100 shots. My POI went haywire right before I was ready to quit and go inside. Shot big guns all my life and never had a scope fail. Been into airguns for only 4 months and have already destroyed 5 of them. It's the reverse recoil. You will have to buy air rifle specific scopes if you want them to last. https://www.airgundepot.com/airgunscopes.html
Gavin Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Just busy FW, you did not inflict any stress. It's Tax Season, do the hard stuff, train the JR's, communicate with the customers.. If I post here I'm on a thinking break. fishinwrench 1

The Simmons 22Mag is supposed to be up to magnum springer capability, as was the UTG that the reticle tube went sideways on. The warranty replacement has held up ok though, so far, but I can't dial in for a 50+ yard shot or it goes all inconsistent, so I have to rely solely on mildots....which I'm not very good at yet. Takes me 4-5 shots to get that crap right. What's the point of having cool target turrets if you can't use them? The Hammers 3-9x40AO was the shortest lived of the bunch, it was still holding zero but something started rattling around in it after 100 shots and then it started fogging up back when it was colder than a witches tit. I didn't even want to try another one so I took the refund. I've learned how to make them hold zero by shimming the back mount as much as possible, which (once zeroed) creates more spring tension on the inner tube and keeps everything in place, at least until parts start flying off of them. I added yet another shim to the Simmons today and brought it back to life....for now. My best scope so far is a Bushnell AR but that sucker is so heavy that it makes my fairly light weight break barrels feel top heavy, and that bugged me so badly that I took it off and am saving it for a possible PCP or a .25 someday. I'm sure that the reason I've had so much scope issues is simply because I am doing ALOT of shooting. I mean if you saw the stacks of empty pellet tins I have aquired you'd be like "Holy Crap!" But hey, I'm trying to get genuinely good at this game The average plinker could probably get along fine with any of the scopes I've trashed.
