Gavin, contact Benjamin and have them mail you another.

Anyone having any effects on the power in this cold weather?  I read an article about performance in cold weather decreases on spring airs.  Gas pistons were to be a fix for it.

I was up all night with a sick youngster. I read an article that made sense, in relation to boats. It said that pellets from any airgun will shoot faster in cold weather. I know boats run faster in cold water.

It says that springer guns will still compress the same energy as it will during warm weather. Its the pellet that is more effected by the temps.

I haven't noticed any power loss or change in Zero at temps in the teens.  That's not a fair statement though because I'm taking my gun out of a warm house, shooting for only a short time, then going back in.   I bet if the gun was left outside awhile there would be a noticable change.

Springers should be faster when cold unless they are loaded up with grease.  Gas rams....I dunno. I can see where dry firing either in cold temps would cause damage, so I'm careful about that and always keep track of the numbers on the magazine of the Swarm. It hung up on me once before I started washing pellets.

Well I have some stupidity going on now.  Was out back plinking dinosaurs at 40yds and then all of a sudden I couldn't hit anything.  Threw up a paper target and suddenly for no apparent reason I was 2" low and 1" right.  Checked all screws and everything was still solid.  Made a scope adjustment (took about 12 clicks total) and then put 10 in a dime sized bullseye at 30yds., Shook it around, tapped on the scope and retried it....still on Zero.

Not sure what happened but I suspect the Gamo scope may be about to puke.  What else would cause my zero to suddenly change by 12 clicks?

Check all screws on stock to make sure they are still tight.  I had forearm screws back out on the Stoeger and gun went bezerk.  Thought I had blown a scope.  Went from hero to zero all of a sudden, scratched my head for a while, jacked with it a couple of afternoons.  Then noticed the screws on the forearm were wobbly.  Blue loc tite and a few pellets got me back in the black.

This gun actually shoots best when not cranked down super tight.  I have loc-tite and lock washers on all the screws and they are snug and holding.

If it looses zero again I'll pull a few patches through the barrel, and if that doesn't help then I'm ordering the UTG Leaper that I've wanted from day one.

It pretty much has to be the scope because the grouping stayed fine, only the POI changed.

Scope my friend. Known to junk after 100 shots. I have 3 of them laying around if you want to give another one a go.

The Optima that came with the Hatsan is a better scope if you want to give it a try. Its not a UTG but beyter than the Gamo ones.

Wrench  I  am going to try or buy a bit better scope for mine for my birthday. Nothing expensive. But I will be up to see you to sight it in. I'm not really  into target shooting. tree rats  chipmunks  and such is about what I use it for. I have All kinds of claps so I think I can improvise a pretty good siting in rack If this coon cat next door gets out into the yard more I will not heed it for that. She will go up in a tree after a tree rat and she will catch. She is as agile as they are up there.
