I know a few diver guys that i hunt with. I guess any scuba tank will do? The bigger the better? Depending on the gun you purchase. The newer ones charge at 250 bar which is if I remember right is 3625 plus PSI. Scuba tanks for diving can only be charged to 3000 PSI. You are kind of shooting yourself in the foot with a Scuba Tank. You need a 4500 PSI tank. See if you can find a firefighters SCBA tank with some time left on the test. Mine like I said is outdated but no damage, but I fill myself. Or you can go to Air Tanks For Sale Discounts for PCP (Pre-Compressed-Pneumatic) Air Gun by AirTanksForSale Don't have a coronary event looking here. I did buy my SCBA hose assembly here though for my tank. Note this can be an expensive hobby but I like it and once you settle as I have just need pellets to feed the addiction. Plus, more ready to e-tank and a table you cannot see with more finished stuff . Ketchup Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 Ok fellers’ So the better half is one of those that has her Christmas shopping done by the end of October. Yesterday she asked me twice to let her know my wants, so here i am. Our usual budget for each other is $500 range. Going to post the 3 pcp I’m looking at so far. Let me know if you know of a better option. Because i have the Hatsan in 25cal, I’m leaning towards a 22cal. It’s main purpose will be squirrels and rabbits, as i use the 25 for the yard pests. Until i find a tank, a hand pump it will be. Im still in pretty good shape so temporarily shouldn’t be an issue. Basically looking for the best bang for the buck kinda thing. Not set on any brand. My only MUST is wood stock. Benjamin Marauder JTS Airacuda Hatsan Hydra “this one can shoot .177, .22, and .25 out of the same gun. $469 on sale for $299” I’m going to throw the Hatsan AT44-10 QE in the mix, tho is is synthetic Any thoughts/needs? TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
fishinwrench Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Not a wooden stock..... but this would be my choice in .22 https://www.pyramydair.com/product/benjamin-fortitude-gen-2-pcp-air-rifle-regulated?m=4569 Ketchup 1

I am going to throw something else at you Ketchup, Talked to my uncle and here is one gun he has really fell in love with and I have shot them when he comes twice a year. Air Venturi Avenger, Regulated PCP Air Rifle, Wood Stock | Pyramyd Air Very, very accurate. He actually has bought three in .177, .22 and .25. He did an aftermarket carbon fiber bottle kit (Hajimoto) for more shots per fill. Air Rifle Mods/Parts – Hajimoto Productions LLC Also, he said to go to You Tube and search for Air Venturi Avenger. Guys are liking it as well also and tons of info out there. Ketchup Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 So comparing the 2 that you guys mentioned, and put those against the Marauder, makes it tough. I do like the looks/reviews of that Avenger a lot. There are so many great guns out there to choose from. At this point it boils down to looks i think TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. That right there would make the decision easy.....for ME. The Marauder is a whopin' 8.4lbs.....which is why I have never owned one. I guess if all you do is bench-rest shoot, or punch paper, then it doesn't matter.
fshndoug Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 benches are hard on my teeth so why shoot them ?
Ketchup Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 I have noticed that the plastic guns weigh a pound or more less than wood. I still have have a few plastic springers. Tho the wood weighs more, it won’t be carried for hours on end I don’t believe. If so it would be no heavier than my 22’s or over-under’s. I usually walk into the timber and find a comfy seat at the base of a tree and try to not fall asleep. Just something about wood for me. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club.
