           MoCarp,

Just glad you are posting here where the Carp fishing is supposed to be and not clogging up general fishing and conservation issues. Might be good if you can get Phil to give you your one place like non native invasive species fishing.

400 bucks a pop to fly fish for them. I I will dig you a pond and only charge you 100 bucks a pop. I will even stock it for you. Better yet I will let the ducks eat carp eggs and poop out viable eggs to hatch. Still only charge you 100 bucks a pop until you get a fishable population to catch and release. I will throw in a photo op and pictures to take home  !  Actually This may be a better business venture for you. Right up your alley. Don't let wrench get under your nerves. He can sometimes get a bit jealous. He does about me and my Hybrid fishing :) . Of course I get that way with his stinkin green bass fishing.

There is a show about carp. It was and is called bottom feeders.

I doubt Wrench cares about shore fishermen. If they stop fishing his lake he will service wake boats and jet skis :) .

Can't seem to get into carp. . . I've seen cool videos and how tos and still doesn't seem as majestic as trout or small jaws. Shoot they are crazy on Europe though and have private carp lakes and regulations to boot. To each their own. May e if I caught one on purpose it would change my mind.lol its good to see people excited about fish no matter what kind. It means our waterways will stay a focal point of conservation and pride. Ugly fish or streamlined rainbows all are welcome in my life.

I am not into them either. They are a good bonus bycatch if nothing else is biting. Fun to stalk and target with a fly rod or bow.

I can't get into being arm to arm fishing for a stocked 10 inch Bennett spring's trout....they are not the beautiful painters pallet that one catches in Montana...a lot can be said of where you are fishing for any fish, carp can be as pretty as any fish and every one I catch dwarf any trout I ever saw caught at Bennet, and I do not have to dodge getting hooked in my face fishing for them...perhaps when you see a young woman fishing in some odd looking place for trout, its just me trying to catch these wonderful fish

Conservation is conservation, be it water turbidity caused by boats, or any other conservation

he already has.... posts of 4 of the top invasive on the ICNU list common carp-Largemouth Bass-Brown Trout-Rainbow trout...if you use the tag you must realize many favorite fish are listed invasive...commons are naturalized here over the last 140 years not invaded but stocked on purpose...as long as I get messages to help and teach, I will

Funny you should say that had a call the other day from a Brit who has moved to LOZ  area and is looking to buying a 9a gravel pit to turn into a carp syndicate, must have been one of the pits that they blasted rock out when they built the dam....he said it was spring fed and was looking to buy fish to get it started....I told him to sent me pics of killing out the current fish...

I love fishing for all kinds of fish...hard to get into fishing for them when its so difficult to master, catching 20 or so fish in a few hours will change even a die hards life...fellows lake have a few euro guys that fish it and they usually convert a couple to fishing for them...they use a kayak and cast to fish...its a wanting to get your rod bent on those hot as hell summer days....you have crappie and white bass days....next time you have a sucky hot summer day post up here and I'd bet an other fly fisherman will be glad to share fishing for a golden bone

I saw a few bow fishing 3 weeks ago, they would shoot a fish then toss it back. from what I could see it was mostly Buffalo suckers, common carp, and a few garfish

then I noticed a guy laughing and brought in a very angry beaver, they beat it in the head and tossed it back then saw them shoot what was ether a big crappie or small bass and they tossed that into a cooler. it makes me wonder how many fish they kill and waste or take illegally. if I had my phone with me I would have taken video and turned them in. as a person who bank fishes for carp I try to keep a low profile and avoid the hostilities you bow-fisher persons express on people like me or on this forum like mocarp

        Nice,

Did you catch that or cut and paste one that someone else caught? If you did well done we have been seeing a lot of cut and paste fish lately.  I think we would like to see you with a big carp catch,

perhaps when you learn how to fish better you can attempt to land something bigger than this your normal fair (see pic)...perhaps you lack of current fishing prowess is why you need a scape goat "its the carp taking over" or "darn MDC isn'd doing their jobs"  when the issue is all the fish dinners you have eaten.... making it tougher and tougher for you.... or others like you.... to enjoy great fishing, its why people who don't deer hunt well patrol the roads at night with a spot light and IMHO its a major reason why some people spot light fish to shoot lots easier

your crankiness must be fun for the people around you
