The fish of pic I sent were caught in the back of highpoint ramp cove there is a spring back there. All on night crawlers.  That year was a good one  if I had known they were channels I would have released

Did they taste and different than a blue cat or do you know?  I guess I don't understand what the thought process is in the meaning of ,

its been a few years but that spring area used to have big clumps of weeds and back in the day you could catch northerns and later tiger muskies in that area.....unsure why they stopped stocking those but fishing for everything was better back then...less people perhaps.....SMB fishing was better walleyes ran way bigger...you had to know what you were doing to catch them...fish seem longer and thinner than then......

I've found it strange that these reservoirs don't have much for weeds. Maybe because of the fluctuating water levels?

I'm from Minnesota and the lakes up there have tons of weed growth.

They used to sow millet on Grand, esp on the flats around Sycamore creek in August to attract the ducks. They did that for about 10 years, but quit it a few years back

MoCarp,

  Now you have my interest..............

1. How long ago did they seed the Weed beds on Stockton?

2. Which area of the lake are they located?

MoCarp,

I think it would be great if you could "mark" those areas on a map and send it to the forum.

Thanks,
