Good day to be water, none to light wind and decent temps. Only could fish for a couple hours before having to get my son to work.  Managed to put 14 crappie in the livewell along with a decent bluegill.  All caught on soft plastic jigs on 1/8th oz jig heads vertical jigging over brush in 16 to 18 fow.  Color didn't seem to matter as we caught them or had hits on every color we tied on.  Lost quite a few jigs but seemed like we did best dropping the jig in the brush and trying to finesse them around the limbs.  Shortest crappie was 10.5 inches biggest was right at 14.5 inches.IMG_20171220_182013_639.jpgIMG_20171220_161815_369.jpgIMG_20171220_161543_289.jpg

                 Nice job John,

Last Evening I thought I might try to fish today and then I devised another plan and caught these instead. Kind of a last ditch effort before the freeze up. It is so warm one of these nice new friends of mine was carrying a little leach :)

Congrats on the green Marty.  Can't say as if I've ever seen a leach on a duck before.  Definately been a odd season.  Hopefully this cold front will bring things back to some normalcy.

John knows what I'm talking about. Both of us are looking for a cold snap that lasts. My problem on little waters is the H2O gets too hard for me.

I've heard that sandhills are considered the prime rib of upland birds. Not sure what flamingo would taste like. You'll have to let us know when you deke in a few☺!

If divers taste a lil fishy id imagine that flamingos might have a shrimpy taste to them ;).
