Micro fishing with Johnsfolly

As well as reported on the micro fishing Madness topic John and I went micro fishing.  Firstly I wanted to thank John again for taking his time of his day and showing me how to do this really cool sport. Secondly I looked on YouTube to watch some videos to see if there was any other tips or tricks I can find, but all of the fish they were catching were much larger then the fish John taught me how to catch. So just wanted to put this out there, when John is showing his micro fishing pictures he's working a whole lot harder than the videos on YouTube. He's putting it in a whole lot more dedication then what I can find online. So if you were watching the micro fishing videos online thinking that is what he does, he has it fine-tuned a whole lot more, and better than what those guys are doing. He taught me how to find, and catch single fish.  Not just throw out a line and bobber. 

 

Just wanted to give credit, and thanks.  If he didn't offer to bring me out, I would not have seen the detail,and specific way.  Nor would it be as enjoyable.

Sounds like he gave ya the bug!  John is a heck of a fisherman, and I'll agree with ya the man has dedication to his craft!  It is very rewarding however when you finally catch the fish you've been pestering for 10 minutes to hit those tiny little hooks!  Then theres the sheer amount of different species most are oblivious to that make up the fish ecosystem.  

One things for sure I definitely notice the small fish allot more now when I'm out.  I'm not nearly as dedicated, but I'll chase them every once in a while and bust out my lip gloss bag!

Glad you got to fish with Liv too!  She's an awesome kiddo and she can flat out catch em big or small like her dad!  Plus all the other critters in the stream she can catch.
