He is beyond welcome to these Kansas mud holes (and wind factories to boot)!

I absolutely HATE fishing in my home state - even when I'm catching 'em.

Not one thing in Kansas that makes it worthwhile to settle. Which is why we tried to burn it to the ground and call it a day in the first place. If it weren't for the fact that Super Dave produces the best Ned Heads there, we'd have already taken a torch to that State again.

Tried to burn it to the ground is the key here.

You guys can't ever do anything right.

I'll never understand why God gave you all those beautiful lakes unless it was to try and make up for the difference in basketball!

Hahaha. Touche.

And God didn't give them to us.....we had to make them by blocking the rivers in his original blueprint. Destructive creatures are we humans.

Pathetic that Loyola has double the amount of Final Four appearances as Mizzou.............Loyola now has TWO. We stink.

Aw, c'mon man, that's no fun!  I was expecting one of your many insightful, arousing and blatantly insulting comebacks to strategically put me back in my chickenhawk place!

I gotta say, this year was the closest I've ever come to actually feeling sorry for MU fans (I said close).  I even tried to imagine what it must be like to have finally been delivered "the chosen one" only to have him, too, snatched away just when he was needed the most.

And THEN to be teased by his unexpected return just in time to lead us to the promised land and finally purge all of those miseries of the past only to play like a dog and actually make us worse.  It was hard for even me to take much satisfaction from what had to be total and absolute torment - downright cruel in fact.

And now if BOTH brothers go to the NBA who knows what'll happen and how long before Cuonzo gets run out of town too.

Believe me when I say that at least this one Jayhawk is fully aware and appreciative of how lucky we are to be where we are today no matter what happens next.

Heck, we lost our lottery pick for the entire season and it probably made us better.

Fortunate indeed.

Thanks for still letting us share your lakes though!

Even if I am still banned from your cove.

Kansas has to be better than Illinois.   We have a couple decent lakes.   All down state.  It is the most corrupted and fisically irresponsible state in the nation next to maybe California.   To bad I can’t move my business somewhere else.

I don't know how you guys do it.  If Chicago could be moved to somewhere just outside Fresno the rest of you would probably be OK.

Although then you'd probably be Kansas without the muddy lakes I guess.......

The Michael Porter Jr. thing, so Mizzou, isn't it? Finally get a top recruit and plays 2 minutes first game and that's it for the entire regular season. Comes back to look awful for one game in the SEC tournament and then look even worse against FSU in the one and done dance. Off to the NBA and thanks for nuthin'. It's the life of a Mizzou fan. We are a comedy of tragedies. Probably why we have a Shakespeare's Pizza in Columbia as it's very fitting to the culture of cruelty that is University of Missouri.

That said it flat out sucks that the Mizzoutagues don't still do battle against the Kanspulets. One of the best rivalries in all of sports IMO. Even if Mizzou is the one always drinking the poison, I still enjoy the theater on the court/gridiron.

Cuonzo did a good job. We went from a complete joke to playing competitive games and making it to the field of 64. Can't argue or complain about that. I don't think he is a very good X's and O's coach (never did figure out how to inbound the ball, break a press, close a team out the last 2 minutes of a game, put a shock collar on Tilmon every time he committed a foul or shoot Geist with a tranquilizer dart anytime he would dribble to a sideline/corner and pick up his dribble). But the man can recruit, so give me the talent over the technical, in the end.

I don't have to ban you from MY cove. God hates a KU fan. Come in there and see what happens.

Good luck today. Gonna need it versus Nova. Should be a great game.

Well, so much for a great game!  Wow, what a shooting exhibition.  The only other game that I can remember that was even close to similar was when Syracuse beat us in the championship game in 2003.  And they shot 18 threes and made 11 which seemed ridiculous at the time but Villanova MADE 18 of 'em!

Imagine a team shooting 40 three's in one game.

And only 25 two's.

My, how things have changed.  Heck, they could have moved the line back to NBA range and they STILL would have probably made 13 or 14 of those babies!

I still can't decide if that game was a freak/fluke for 'Nova or if they're just that good.  Monday will remove all the mystery I guess, but so far, I'm thinking they're just that good.

Losing always sucks but it's doubly worse when you're never even in the game past the two minute mark.  Nonetheless, this KU team exceeded all (my) expectations and by a considerable margin.

Good on Villanova though.  Great performance by a great team.

And Mizzou fans had something to be happy about for at least one night!

I think it's mostly the latter, although I'm not sure Bill Self is as effective as he used to be.
