Members crappie-hunter Posted April 13, 2018 Members Posted April 13, 2018 I went yesterday. The wind was tough! We were tired of fighting the boat by the end of the day
Lifes2Short Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Did you find any fish yesterday, inquiring minds want to know. :-)
Members sixstring531 Posted April 13, 2018 Members Posted April 13, 2018 We braved it from sun up to 3 pm, yesterday. It was windy, but the coves we were in shielded us enough to make it to the afternoon. 30+ bass with 10 keepers - largest closing in on 2.5-3lb. We were fishing 10' under on spawning banks, but the bucks didn't seem to be 100% committed yet and we weren't graphing anything deeper in these particular arms. Thirty seems like a lot, but we've had 70+ days this time of year. So, we either missed it or it hasn't happened yet. All fish were caught on spinner baits, cranks (original/vintage wart produced the most), rage tail menace, shaky head and jig. Surface temps were nearing 60 in the coves by the time we left. dan hufferd 1
MrGiggles Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I might brave the wind tonight. Will likely go to Pomme though. -Austin

Walleyedmike Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I fished a couple of hours this morning. Bounced a secondary point that has always been good to me in the spring. The wife and i both limited there during this week on the two previos years. The walleye aren't there yet this year. Not even a bite. Boat control in the wind was a struggle but can be managed. But, I'm thinking I'll hunt mushrooms tomorrow. WM dan hufferd 1
