1099's are easy to file. My admins do a pile of those. Good to paper them with the income if you are splitting more than $1,200. The IRS can match and it will sucure your deduction. Would add some travel, boat gas, mileage, etc on the deduction side.

I can't believe how tough fishing is right now on LOZ.  Pre spawn, water upper 50's and I failed to put together a limit of keepers either day.  We weighed 3 fish for the weekend, 1 to hit the 3lb mark and 2 to hit the 4lb mark.  No damage done here.  I think we only caught 16 fish total combined both days.

Here's the problem. IMG_20180423_185832438.jpg

Soon as that spins around things will get alot easier.

It was flat terrible. I caught only one keeper all weekend and it came within one minute of the start of fishing on Saturday morning. It wasn’t quite 2 pounds by my scale. I managed only one more dink on Saturday and only a handful of short fish on Sunday. It was sure tough.

Too many options for the lower end fish.  If you'll study the weigh-in stats you'll see that the upper end crew was darn steady with the 4's and 5's, and I'm sure they caught a good number of just solid keepers as well.   My old buddy Bill Hickman had a pair of 5+'s and plenty of shorter ones.

The upper Osage fish don't have the option of going deep.....they are REAL bass in a REAL BASS'es world.   Unlike these perpetually lost and homeless green stripers of the lower end.

I’ve not fished much past the hurricane deck bridge. Sometime I need to find someone who is familiar with the upper osage to take me up there and show me the ropes. At least how to navigate it. I’m told it can be tricky.

It is a bit tricky at the current lake level.  I'd make plans to go up there with ya but my schedule is such that I can't plan anything.  All of my outings are spontaneous.   If you might possibly be good to go on a short notice (like 3-5 hours notice) then I'll shoot you a text sometime.
