aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I saw more stupid things today from the guys with more money than brains. Up flat creek here comes a new z21 flies river right of that brush pile in the middle that everyone fishes. I know there are stick ups that are just barely under water right now, somehow he missed them. I know exactly where they are but still wouldnt every feel comfortable on plane trying to dodge them. Next up brand new Ranger out in the James, has the whole channel decides to be nice and come of plane to "idle" pass me at about 6-8mph. Waves over my bow. He waved like he was doing me a favor. Later on i see the same ranger running about 30mph with a 10 foot rooster tail porpoising like crazy. Then my favorite was the brand new nice big Crestliner at the ramp. He hit the trailer at about 10mph, about cought air and just stuffed the nose of it to the front of the trailer, and then floored it to make sure it was all the way up... Totally amazed by people

I remember that article, and that it reminds me of our Florida home. When we boat with our pontoon, we have a lot of no wake, then a stretch of of the ICW before we can get over to other side of the bay, to the pass where everyone hangs out, or to the dolphin wall. &, yeah, there is a drawbridge, and some HUGE vessels. Most of them don't slow down, so I either get us out of harm's way, or our doggy, who sits guard at the front gate, gets a drenching.

Any chance it was dark brown metallic, big Evinrude on the back, and no numbers? A boat like that fished by our dock yesterday. "Flat Creek" makes me hungry for catfish.
Ketchup Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Plenty of sour, old grumpy dock owners who have nothing better to do than to sit on their dock and whine at every lure that gets pitched in, between, on their dock. You may own the material the docks built from, but that water were those fisheys are, is mine buckwheat. snagged in outlet 3 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. Just show some respect . . . not much to ask." My wife would not have been as polite as me, but she wasn't down there until later, when fisherman were casting into our slips, over our brushpiles, after her pet fishies. 😏 That last part is what i posted above about. Her pet fishies my behind. Maybe until one gets fooled by a wacky worm pitched in there. I love when dock owners chat with me about "their" fish. Has only happened maybe 3 times in thousands of trips, but i like to chat, so i try to help them understand fish behavior. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club.
