Launched at Masters at 5:45am. Ran just a short distance towards the dam. Found a point with fist sized rock and 2nd cast caught a 14" bass.  Putthat down and picked up the green pumpkin tube. Those that i fish with know i love a tube. Aarchdale and his dad were driving up, so i started sending him pictures of LM and SM i was catching. On a 50 yards stretch, in 45 minutes, i boated 17 bass, and lost 3 that came unhooked. Motored acrossthe pocket just as a bass blew up on shad in 8 inches of water. Had a walking bait tied on, and as soon as it hit the water, he came out of the water with it in his mouth. After about another 8fish on that stretch, i left the area. Every fish caught was in less than 2 foot of water, most in less than a foot against the shore chasing shad up tight. It was a great morning to be out.

Nice report! I need to try tubes more as I have never really given them a chance. How do you rig your tubes? Insert a jig head with hook exposed?

I use tube hooks. 1/4 ounce typically. Its a great alternative when they are feeding on the bottom, especially really shallow on rocks. So many different ways to fish a tube. It has an erratic fall if you use the jerk method, jerking it off the bottom instead of dragging it. All of the fish on this day were caught dragging it. Last week they wanted it jerked off the bottom, and would hit it as it was falling back down.
